The Logistics Section of the Dalregement Group is seeking a Material Accountant. We offer you a job where you will have the opportunity to work with logistics issues in their entirety and where you are expected to establish many contacts, to the benefit of the battalion's combat readiness.

About the Unit

The Dalregement Group trains and maintains a Home Guard battalion and provides support to the county's voluntary defense organizations. The Logistics Section is responsible for logistics and technical service as well as support to the Home Guard battalion. The section consists of a section chief, a technical officer, a technical administrator, two material accountants, and a material handler. The section shall, in coordination and close cooperation with other sections at the Dalregement Group and the Home Guard battalion, among other things, be responsible for material distribution, basic inspection, special inspection, handle material in use, and provide logistical support in the planning and implementation of training. The section also supports certain administration and implementation of training.

Job Responsibilities

In the position, you both plan and participate in carrying out tasks broadly within the logistics and material service area, both towards the organizational unit and the 17th Home Guard Battalion. Examples of work areas include:

• Ongoing handling of vehicles and material including transport and maintenance.
• Ordering and reporting on supplies and services.
• Supporting the unit in material matters as well as with supplies before/during/after exercises.
• Receiving, warehousing, and issuing of supplies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Driver's license B (manual).
• Experience with personal computers and navigation in common operating systems.
• Good command of the Swedish language in speech and writing.
• Swedish citizenship.

Merits

• Completed conscription or basic military training.
• Previously employed by the Swedish Armed Forces.
• Knowledge of the Swedish Armed Forces' material.
• Previous experience in warehousing.
• Knowledge of the Home Guard and the organization and operations of voluntary organizations.
• Experience from a Home Guard battalion.
• Hazardous goods certification (ADR).
• BVKF training (storage and keeping of flammable goods).
• Driver's license C.
• Knowledge of the Swedish Armed Forces' accounting systems.

The employment is a civil permanent position (CVAT/K), 100% employment rate. The workplace is Falun. Individual salary. Irregular working hours in the form of evening and weekend work occur. Travel for work occurs infrequently. Heavy lifting and outdoor work in all seasons occur. Start date by agreement.

The Middle Military Region (MR M) is a war unit and an Organizational Unit where the Chief and Staff are located in Kungsängen. The organization consists of the Chief with staff, six training groups for training and support of the Home Guard, and approx. 7,000 Home Guard soldiers organized in eleven battalions and a number of independent units. The Chief of the Middle Military Region with a regional staff leads subordinate units, cooperates with regional and local actors, leads security and intelligence services, and supports operational and tactical commanders who solve tasks within the region. The region also functions as a link between the Swedish Armed Forces and civil society, has an active cooperation with the county administrative board and the region. If necessary, MR M also leads operations, for example in national crisis situations and support to society. The Military Region solves tasks in peace, crisis, and war.

The Middle Military Region's organization and area of operation cover the geographical counties of Stockholm, Uppsala, Södermanland, Västmanland, Dalarna, and Gävleborg. Training groups and Home Guard exist in each county.
