About Sigtuna Medical House
There is now an opportunity to join us as we have a parental leave vacancy starting in the autumn!
Sigtuna Medical House is located on the charming pedestrian street in beautiful Sigtuna, just 30 minutes from Stockholm.
We work to improve the quality and safety of our home healthcare and have begun implementing NEWS2 for safer home care. In 2023, we focused on mental health issues, where we reduced the number of treatment series while maintaining high quality, patient safety, and good accessibility. Our psychosocial team includes both a psychologist and a nurse with specialist training in psychiatry.
We also have a Child Health Center (BVC), which provides the opportunity to get involved there as well and "catch" parental needs.
You can read more about us at Sigtuna Medical House Health Center.
Modern healthcare requires us to collaborate as well-functioning teams to ensure good patient safety. We place great emphasis on teamwork because we know that the quality of care increases through team-based management where different professional categories collaborate. The team around the patient should together create high accessibility, early detection of mental health issues, and offer patients support for self-care, assessment, treatment, and follow-up.
We can offer you good working conditions, an stimulating work environment with varied tasks, a pleasant atmosphere with much joy and engagement in work. You will receive both collegial and professional support through joint supervision together with psychologists/counselors from other health centers in our area.
You have the opportunity to influence your own working hours to some extent through flexitime, and thus your own work situation, when the operations allow.
Job Responsibilities
Standard work for a licensed psychologist at a health center, which means independently receiving, assessing, and treating a broad spectrum of patients with varying diagnoses. You will meet patients at the health center and in home healthcare.
The job responsibilities include, among other things, psychological assessment and treatment work for mild to moderate mental health issues, processing and supportive conversations, crisis interventions, and psychosocial counseling. Working with adults in a psychosocial team consisting of nurses, therapists, and doctors is part of our agreement as a general practice clinic. You will also have an important role in participating in health-promoting population-oriented initiatives, which means continuous work with different improvement and quality areas. Our ambition is to provide good care at a high medical level with a focus on patient safety and quality.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a licensed psychologist, preferably with previous experience of working in a health center. We prefer that you have a CBT orientation, but experience with other methods is seen as a plus. You should preferably have previous experience of working in Swedish primary care.
Personal Qualities
We place great emphasis on professional treatment of both patients and employees.
Planning and coordination are familiar concepts to you; you are comfortable working independently and making your own decisions. Qualities that are good to have in this position are sensitivity, flexibility, and innovative thinking. A good and respectful treatment of patients, relatives, and colleagues, as well as the ability to share knowledge and information, is of utmost importance. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and that you fit into the work group.
Employment Type:
Permanent employment. Full-time 100%, 40 hours/week. Part-time at 80% can be discussed. Working hours Monday–Friday. Probationary period may apply. Start date by agreement.
Other Information:
We will continuously review applications and may call for interviews before the final application deadline.
Warmly welcome to Sigtuna Medical House!
The position will be filled provided it does not need to be taken for internal relocation, according to current regulations.
