About the role

Our client is a man in his mid-30s living in his own apartment in Avesta. He has a physical mobility impairment that requires support in his daily life, but he has no problems communicating and advocating for himself.

Your job as a personal assistant is to be his extended arms and legs. This involves helping with:

• Personal care
• Cooking and household chores
• Accompanying him to activities outside the home

Who are you?

We place the utmost importance on your personal suitability. We are looking for someone who is sensitive, reliable, and has a good sense of humor.

We would like you to:

• Share an interest in computers, movies, and TV.
• Like dogs (as this is an interest of the client).
• Enjoy football – the client is a loyal fan of his favorite team and would love to watch matches together with you.
• Be flexible and comfortable working both independently and in close proximity to another person.

Working hours

We are looking for part-time substitutes who can step in when regular staff is sick or on leave. Work takes place during most hours of the day, but the most common shifts are scheduled as follows:

• Day/Evening: 13:00 – 21:00
• Night (with waiting time): 22:30 – 11:20

Due to the fact that the role may involve solo work, night work, and tasks that, according to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations (AFS 2012:3), cannot be performed by minors, you must be at least 18 years old to work as a personal assistant with us.

If you wish to work with children and young people under 18, you need to present an extract from the criminal record. It is important to order the extract in good time, as the Police's processing time may vary. Due to a legislative change effective from March 1, 2026, the register check is expanded to include both extracts from the criminal record and extracts from the suspicion register.
