About Us Uppsala Nära Care (Uppsala Närakut) is a modern clinic with a broad mission. Here, we meet patients of all ages – from children to the elderly – with acute conditions that cannot wait until the next day.

We work in cross-professional teams where general medicine, orthopedics, physiotherapy, and psychosocial support collaborate. The clinic has X-ray facilities, general specialists, and a counselor, allowing us to offer cohesive care for the patient.

Each year, we receive a large number of patients, including a proportion of follow-up visits from those we treat.

Our daily work is characterized by engagement, collaboration, and a desire to constantly develop. We have short decision-making paths and great opportunities to influence how we work – together.

The Role As an orthopedic specialist here, you work with clinic duties in a team together with physiotherapists, nursing assistants, X-ray nurses, and resident physicians. You meet patients with varying acute orthopedic conditions, primarily limb injuries.

In collaboration with the orthopedic department at Akademiska Sjukhuset, the patients are managed. Here, you have the opportunity to influence working methods, processes, and flows, and to drive improvements in close collaboration with colleagues.

The work is primarily during daytime hours, but variations in working hours may occur as the facility is open every day of the year from 07:00 to 23:00.

About You

Requirements:

• Specialist physician in orthopedics
• Experience in clinic work
• Good ability to work independently and in a team
