If you are motivated by providing excellent service, have previous customer service experience, and speak and write fluently in Finnish and Swedish, there is now an opportunity to join the BookBeat support team as an agent. This is a perfect part-time job for students, as you can work from home on a flexible schedule. Apply now!
About the role
Currently, the BookBeat support team consists of a mix of German-, Swedish-, Polish-, Danish-, Norwegian-, and Finnish-speaking support agents who work together to provide the best possible service to users of the audiobook platform. The need is long-term, and shifts are primarily scheduled during daytime hours on weekdays, though weekends and public holidays may also be required. The role is flexible as you can work from anywhere, so it is not tied to an office. You are expected to work at least 15-20 hours per week.
As customer support, you will primarily respond to questions from Finnish customers in BookBeat's web-based support system. These may include questions about how the service works, technical issues, account settings, sales inquiries, etc. For the most common questions, you will have ready-made email templates to use as a basis for your responses to customers.
As a consultant for Academic Work, we offer great opportunities for you to grow professionally, build your network, and create valuable contacts for the future. Read more about our consulting offer.
Responsibilities
Respond to incoming inquiries regarding content, account settings, and sales from the company's customers via email.
We are looking for someone who
- Is a post-secondary student with at least one year of studies remaining
- Has lived or worked in Finland
- Has previous experience in customer service and administrative work
- Can work at least 20 hours per week
- Has very good skills in Swedish, Finnish, and English, both spoken and written
Additional qualifications are a strong plus
- Knowledge of Polish, German, Norwegian, and/or Danish
As a person, you are interested in literature and skilled at written expression. You are curious to learn how things work and have a good sense for customer service and interaction. Since the work is independent, you must also have good problem-solving skills, be communicative, and be willing to take initiative.
Our recruitment process
This recruitment process is handled by Academic Work, and our client's preference is that all questions regarding the role be sent to Academic Work.
We conduct rolling selections and will remove the advertisement when enough candidates have reached the final stage of the recruitment process. A CV is required when applying. We do not use cover letters as a selection method, so one is not needed. The recruitment process includes two selection tests: a personality test and a cognitive ability test. These tests are tools to help identify the candidate with the highest potential for the role and to promote equality, diversity, and a fair recruitment process.
