For a client with nationwide operations, we are now looking for an experienced Network Engineer with specialist expertise in VMware NSX-T. The assignment is carried out in a large and socially important organization with a modern IT environment, where network services are a central part of the infrastructure.

You will become part of an established team responsible for the operation, support, and further development of the client's network services. The work takes place both in line organization and in agile deliveries according to SAFe. The assignment requires deep technical competence and the ability to work systematically in complex environments.

The work is performed primarily on-site in Stockholm at least three days per week, with the possibility of remote work up to two days per week.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the design, construction, and implementation of new environments based on VMware NSX-T
• Ensure stable operation and further development of network services
• Contribute to competence broadening and knowledge transfer within the team
• Participate in the development and implementation of new technical solutions
• Work solution-oriented with a focus on quality, stability, and service
• Manage and support network environments covering switching, routing, load balancing, wireless, firewalls, and physical hardware
• Travel may occur as the network service has national ownership

Competency Requirements:

Must-Haves

• Specialist in VMware NSX-T with at least 3 years of documented experience in implementation and operation in production environments
• Documented experience with microsegmentation in both VCF 9 and VMware Classic with NSX
• Very good understanding of Software Defined Networking (SDN)
• Documented knowledge of:
  • NSX Edge clusters
  • Advanced Load Balancer (ALB)
  • Distributed Firewall (DFW) and vDefend
  • Transit gateways
• Deep technical understanding of traditional network environments (switching, routing, firewalls, load balancing, and wireless networks)
• Good habit of documenting network infrastructure
• Experience working in large and complex organizations
• Ability and habit of sharing knowledge and supporting team development
• Ability to work on-site at the client's premises at least three days per week

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience with migration to software-defined data centers
• Basic knowledge of Jira, Jira Service Management, and Confluence
• Basic knowledge of Ansible and/or Python
• Experience with agile working methods, such as SAFe
