About the assignment

Our client in Gothenburg is now looking for an archive consultant. This is a consultancy assignment through Bemannia, starting on May 11th until December 31st. The position is 50% but may vary slightly during the period. There is an option to work remotely, although physical meetings may occur.

Your responsibilities

Our client is transitioning to digital archiving of closed cases and needs an archivist to contribute to and support this transition. While there are already archivists at the administration, the transition requires additional resources.

• The work is conducted using a digital case management system called Boss+, delivered by the Consumer Agency. The cases are confidential and handled according to a document management plan. Currently, physical files are archived when cases are closed.

• Future digital files are to be archived at the Regional Archive in Gothenburg. This means we will have close collaboration with the Regional Archive in this process. A preservation report has been started and needs to be completed.

• To establish a smooth and legally secure working method regarding the digitization of files to be archived at the Regional Archive, technical challenges may arise. In 2025, the Budget and Debt Counseling service has created 2,000 cases. These are handled in the Boss+ program and, upon archiving, must be transferred and permanently stored in the Regional Archive's digital system. During the development work, it is likely that we will need to collaborate with other operations, such as Intraservice in the City of Gothenburg.

• Provided that the Budget and Debt Counseling service continues to archive documents, the operation needs to develop a digital archiving process.

Your qualifications

• Experience with digital archiving and handling of electronic documents.

• Knowledge of laws and regulations regarding archiving, such as the Archives Act and GDPR.

• Ability to analyze and understand the operation's needs and requirements for digital archiving.

• Experience working with IT systems and technical infrastructure.

• Good communication and collaboration skills.
