About the Role
As an Electronics Improvement Engineer, you will become a central part of our dedicated team consisting of five specialists in electronic design. The role is varied and developmental, offering significant influence over both technology and working methods. You will be responsible for maintaining and further developing our existing product range and documentation regarding their electronics. You will also ensure and further develop electronic development processes, acting as a driving force and coordinator in quality matters concerning electronics.
Additionally, you will serve as the main contact person for the R&D department towards our surface mount technology (SMT) factory in Kungsbacka, expected to provide support in production-related questions. Ideally, you will split your time 50% in Gothenburg (R&D) and 50% in Kungsbacka (the SMT factory). Here, you will drive long-term development projects while handling quick, production-proximate issues with great responsibility and self-drive. The role requires you to work independently, structured, and with a strong ability to plan and execute your work.

Responsibilities
- Lead initiatives regarding ECO (Engineering Change Order) and quality issues of existing electronic solutions.
- Independently update electronic design/documentation in CAD (Altium Designer) in connection with ECOs or quality matters.
- Product troubleshooting.
- Drive the approval and implementation of alternative components during EOL (End of Life) or component shortages.
- Perform testing/troubleshooting at your own lab bench and in TYRI's EMC lab.
- Main contact person/technical support between R&D and our PCBA/SMT factory.
- Drive process work/improvement work within the electronics development group.
- Ensure that electronic documentation for existing products in the Altium database is kept up to date.

Have the ability to prioritize and structure your work effectively, along with an eye for detail and precision. Equally important is strong communication skills, as contact with both internal and external partners occurs on a daily basis. - At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in electronic design.
- University degree or Master of Science in Engineering in Electronics.
- Good proficiency in Electronic CAD and component knowledge, as well as experience in calculating and simulating electronics.
- Experience in calculating DC/DC converters and filters.
- Theoretical understanding and experience in EMC design.
- Proficiency in reading standards.
- Good instrument proficiency.
- Experience in embedded hardware design.
- Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
It is an advantage if you have
- Project management experience.
- Experience with Altium Designer.
- Experience in microcontroller programming.
- Experience measuring in EMC chambers.
- Knowledge of CAN communication.
- Experience with vehicle standards, radio directives, and electrical safety and low voltage directives.
- Experience and good understanding of PCBs and their manufacturing process.
