We are currently looking for more fiber technicians for the Skövde/Jönköping team! Do you want to contribute to today's and tomorrow's connected society?

What are my responsibilities? As a service technician/fiber technician with us, you work with building and maintaining the communication networks of the future. Your job is to ensure that fiber connections work as they should, both during new installations and when something needs to be troubleshooted or repaired. You work with both businesses and private individuals, and you are involved all the way from the cable cabinet to the end user.

Your tasks may include, among other things:

• Installation of fiber connections (e.g., FTTH – Fiber To The Home)
• Troubleshooting and servicing of existing networks
• Blowing and splicing fiber cables
• Measurement with OTDR to find and analyze faults
• Cable pulling and termination, for example Cat-6
• Fiber splicing

You usually work in a team with a colleague, and you receive your assignments from a production planner who is also available for support if needed. The work can vary during the day depending on the customers' needs, so it is important that you are flexible and can adapt quickly to changes.

The position also includes on-call duty, where you are on call approximately every fifth week. Since we offer 24/7 service to our customers, it is important that you can work efficiently, safely, and professionally even under time pressure.

We are looking for you who have:

• A completed upper secondary education with a relevant focus
• Experience from the telecommunications industry or other corresponding knowledge
• B driver's license for manual transmission
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both in speech and writing, as well as good understanding of English

It is meritorious if you have:

• Knowledge of blowing, splicing, and measuring fiber
• Experience with copper networks
• Worked with Trafikverket (Swedish Transport Administration) in railway environments
• Electrical qualifications

As a technician, it is important to offer a high level of service to the customer, which is why we think you understand the importance of communicating with both colleagues and customers. We work in different environments with businesses, authorities, and private individuals. Work takes place both indoors and outdoors, for example at railways.

The position is a permanent full-time position starting with a 6-month probationary period.
