At Ö-varvet, we work with service, conversion, repair, and maintenance of ships for customers in the commercial sector. We are a shipyard with over 100 years of experience where tradition and modern technology go hand in hand. Here, craftsmanship, problem-solving, and technology are combined in everyday life – often in close dialogue with the customer and always with a focus on doing the job properly. For the business to function, our systems must also work. We handle over 30,000 articles and are facing a system change as well as the introduction of a group-wide article register that will be used by our shipyards within the organization. To make this work in practice, we need to strengthen our team with a System and Article Administrator.

Responsibilities

The role involves ensuring that our article and register data are correct and function throughout the entire workflow. You will work both operationally and developmentally to ensure that systems and information connect practically.

You will, among other things:

• Work with article and register maintenance (prices, suppliers, descriptions)
• Ensure that information in business systems is correct and up-to-date
• Troubleshoot and rectify discrepancies
• Ensure that inventories are carried out according to routine and follow up on any differences
• Work on improvements, such as warehouse structure and reorder points

In this role, you work with following up on errors and discrepancies in systems and data. This means you identify when something is not right, investigate what has happened, and analyze the root cause. The work is done in close collaboration with a colleague in the same role as well as in contact with other parts of the business, which means you need to be good at and enjoy working with others.

We are looking for someone who is meticulous, structured, and thrives in a role where you are responsible for ensuring things work. You must be fluent in Swedish (spoken and written) and able to understand and communicate in English at work.

You need to have:

• Experience working in business systems
• Experience in troubleshooting and/or discrepancy management

It is an advantage if you have experience from technical environments and an understanding of how production and components fit together. If you also have experience from marine or shipyard-related operations, it will be easier to quickly get into the work, but this is not a requirement. Experience working with large amounts of article data is also meritorious.

Ö-varvet is a new-building and repair/service shipyard that performs drydocking, repair/service, conversion, new-building, and marine electronics on Öckerö. Our mechanical production takes place on Hönö, where we manufacture, for example, winches as well as steel and aluminum structures.

We are located in a fantastic environment out on Öckerö. If you live out on the islands, you surely know how to get here, but getting to us from the city is also easy. The ferries depart every ten minutes from Lilla Varholmen, and the journey takes only 12 minutes. Once across, it is only a couple of kilometers to the Shipyard, and there are both bus connections and a nice bike path.
