Hello! Are you our new preschool teacher for one of Gällivare Municipality's preschools?

As a preschool teacher in Gällivare Municipality, we can offer you meaningful and varied work with good opportunities for development. Gällivare Municipality has a total of 14 preschools, both in the town center and in the villages in the countryside. We actively work to promote children's learning through language development, nature experiences, and cultural awareness. Our preschools are linguistically and culturally diverse, offering a rich and varied learning environment adapted to the children's needs and interests.

Responsibilities

As a preschool teacher with us, your main responsibilities will be:

• Plan, implement, and evaluate teaching that promotes children's development towards the goals of the curriculum.
• Support each child in their individual learning process and create a safe and inclusive environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and other professionals to create the best possible conditions for every child's learning.
• Participate in the development work of the activity and contribute to realizing our common vision.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are educated and licensed as a preschool teacher, and we also welcome applications from those who have started or are about to complete their preschool teacher education. As a preschool teacher, you should be responsible and have clear leadership within the group of children. You easily create good relationships with children, guardians, and colleagues. Commitment, solution-focus, flexibility, innovation, and a strong ability to collaborate are qualities we value highly in our work; we place great importance on personal suitability.

An extract from the Police Register (criminal record), which you apply for at Polisen.se, is required. The certificate must be presented before employment.

Gällivare Municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish according to the national minority language law. Knowledge of any of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare Municipality.
