Job Responsibilities as a Test Engineer

One of our clients in the automotive industry is now looking for a Test Engineer for their development and testing center in Mullsjö. Here, you will work in an experienced team that collaboratively develops, tests, and ensures the quality of products used by well-known vehicle manufacturers worldwide.

As a Test Engineer, you will test both mechanical and electromechanical products, from the component level to complete systems. You will become part of a ten-person team where everyone has their specialist areas but also helps and learns from each other. The initial focus is on sound and vibration tests, but you will also work broadly with other types of environmental and functional tests.

Examples of tasks:

• Plan, execute, and document tests of mechanical and electromechanical products
• Develop test methods and build and automate test rigs
• Work with test automation and control of pneumatic, electrical, and robotic rigs
• Perform environmental testing such as temperature, humidity, vibration, and load tests
• Write technical reports and present results to internal and external parties
• Collaborate closely with design, electronics, mechanics, and colleagues in other countries

You will receive a personal buddy and an introduction program tailored to your background. The work takes place both in the office and with more practical work in the adjacent test lab.

As a Test Engineer, we are looking for you who have:

• Education (VET/Bachelor's/Master's degree) in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, automation, electrical engineering, or equivalent
• Experience, knowledge, or a clear interest in sound and vibrations
• Good skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Valid driver's license (Category B)
• Ability to absorb technical information and translate theory into practice
• Personality counts heavily. You should be able to build trust and drive a secure customer process from meeting to conclusion

Merits:

• Experience in testing mechanical, electronic, or electromechanical products
• Experience in environmental testing
• Technical hobby projects or a strong interest in technology
