We are currently looking for an IT Operations Engineer to join the Application Team and take responsibility for managing and maintaining the IT infrastructure at a major bank in central Stockholm. About the role

As a member of the IT Operations team within the Digital Wealth Delivery domain, you will play a key role in a dedicated operations and support unit. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the bank's IT infrastructure to improve the customer experience, monitor system performance, and work closely with development teams.

Collaboration is central to the role, as you will work with various teams to deploy, automate, and improve the scalability of applications and systems. Your work is crucial in ensuring smooth support for both users and developers. You focus on customer satisfaction and ensure that services are delivered with the highest quality and short lead times.

Responsibilities

This role is central to managing and maintaining critical IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal system performance and reliability, and driving efficiency through technical innovation and DevOps practices.

  • Lead technical initiatives to drive IT innovation and efficiency.
  • Monitor and maintain the company's IT infrastructure, including servers and databases.
  • Proactively monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and manage incidents for optimal reliability.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with development teams to implement DevOps principles.
  • Conduct disaster recovery tests to ensure system resilience.
  • Support users and collaborate with cross-functional teams within the organization.

We are looking for someone who

  • Has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology and/or equivalent experience in IT operations/system administration.
  • Has advanced knowledge of operating systems such as Windows Server and Linux.
  • Has good knowledge of system monitoring, disaster recovery, and incident management.
  • Is fluent in English, both spoken and written.
  • Has Swedish citizenship or a valid long-term work permit.

An obligatory background check is conducted during this recruitment process. If you proceed in the process, you will need to provide extracts from the criminal record register and approve a credit check.

It is an advantage if you have

  • Experience working in the banking sector.
  • Experience with tools such as Confluence or Jira.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Kubernetes.
  • Documented ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement solutions.
  • Experience with database monitoring and performance optimization.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages for automation.
  • Ability to write and optimize SQL queries.
