About your role

As a Sortiments Merchandiser at Åhléns, you are responsible for achieving our sales targets by distributing the right products to the right places, as well as optimizing layouts and space for new openings and renovations. The role involves both a strategic and operational focus, with the aim of driving sales of the assortment through multiple channels.

The role involves many touchpoints and requires that you can prioritize, structure, and drive your work forward independently. You act as the link between purchasing, assortment, and the stores, ensuring that our changes actually become reality in the shops. You work in a project format and drive assortment changes, where you plan, coordinate, and follow up on implementations together with several different functions.

You help optimize space, analyze data, and contribute to creating profitable and attractive customer experiences in our stores.

Examples of tasks:

• Coordinate and drive assortment changes in the stores
• Provide input to product managers regarding space, assortment, and optimization based on data and insights
• Work on space optimization together with product managers, purchasing, and Visual Merchandising (VM)
• Support stores and regional functions when implementing new initiatives for new space solutions in connection with assortment changes and updating the customer journey
• Create and work with materials in Excel and PowerPoint
• Follow up and analyze the results of implemented changes
• Participate in projects related to new openings and renovations

What you bring to us:

• Several years of experience working in a project format, preferably project management within assortment
• Experience in change management
• Experience in analyzing and interpreting data
• Good skills in Excel and PowerPoint
• Fluency in Swedish, both spoken and written
• Interest in our assortment

Meritorious:

• Experience in visual merchandising
• Experience from retail work as well as understanding of product flows, customer journey, and store planning/space management

About the recruitment

The position is a full-time temporary assignment starting as soon as possible until the end of July 2026. You are located at Åhléns headquarters on Dalagatan in Stockholm.
