Defentry is hiring a Frontend Developer with backend understanding, strong UI/UX skills, and AI experience

Do you want to help build user experiences for products used in critical security-related contexts, by both partners and end customers? Defentry is now looking for a Frontend Developer who combines strong frontend skills with a solid understanding of backend systems, an eye for UI/UX, and practical experience working with AI.

In this role, you will play a central part in creating a modern, intuitive, and intelligent frontend where simplicity and clarity are crucial, despite complex underlying systems.

Your Role

You will primarily work on frontend development but possess a good understanding of backend systems and how they interconnect. The role sits at the intersection of development, design, and AI-driven solutions.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop modern frontend solutions using React and React Native

• Work across multiple UI layers (admin, partner, and end customer)

• Create clear, user-friendly, and well-thought-out UX flows

• Collaborate closely with backend developers, working with APIs and data logic

• Contribute to UI/UX design decisions together with the product team

• Implement and further develop AI-driven features in the product

• Influence technical choices and frontend architecture

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in frontend development

• Good understanding of backend (and preferably practical experience)

• Strong competence in UI/UX and user-centered design

• Experience with React or similar modern frameworks

• Experience working with and implementing AI solutions in products

• Ability to simplify complex functionality into clear interfaces

• Thrives in a role close to both technology and business

Preferred Experience

• Backend development experience (e.g., Node.js, API development)

• Experience with design tools such as Figma

• Experience with AI/ML, such as integrating AI services or data-driven features

• Experience from SaaS companies
