For an assignment with our client in Stockholm, we are seeking a Senior VMware Consultant responsible for designing, further developing, and ensuring a stable, secure, and efficient virtualization and cloud infrastructure. You will work with the entire lifecycle of IT infrastructure; from architecture and implementation to operations, automation, and continuous improvement. About the role

The role suits you who have at least 5 years of in-depth experience with VMware, combined with several years of previous work within IT infrastructure, for example within operations, system administration, or data centers. You have a strong holistic perspective and thrive in environments where automation, scalability, and stability are business-critical.

You are responsible for the central components of the VMware platform and work actively with orchestration, self-service, and standardization through modern tools and ways of working. You will become a key person in upgrades, migrations, and further development of the infrastructure, as well as collaborating closely with network, security, application, and other technical teams.

Your responsibilities

• Design, administer, and optimize VMware environments in complex IT landscapes
• Work with automation and orchestration of IT infrastructure
• Implement and further develop solutions based on VMware Aria Automation and Aria Orchestrator
• Be responsible for virtualized network solutions with VMware NSX-T
• Work with VMware vCloud Director in delivery- and service-oriented environments
• Ensure continuity and recovery with VMware SRM / Live Recovery
• Plan and perform upgrades, migrations, and improvement initiatives
• Automate operations and delivery using scripts and version control
• Collaborate with other teams and act as a technical expert and advisor

Your profile

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience working with VMware in larger or business-critical environments
• Previous multi-year experience working within IT infrastructure or system operations
• Very good knowledge within automation and orchestration of IT infrastructure
• Very good knowledge within:
  • VMware Aria Automation
  • VMware Aria Orchestrator
  • VMware vCloud Director
  • VMware NSX-T
  • VMware SRM / Live Recovery
• Good knowledge of Git (GitHub/GitLab)
• Good knowledge of PowerShell
• Good knowledge of JavaScript
• Very good communication skills in Swedish and English

Merits:
