Our client is an innovative player driving development within their industry, known for their ability to optimize flows and deliver products of the highest quality. Now, we are looking for you to become a key player in their supply chain during the summer.

About the role

In this key role, you will balance purchasing and inventory management to minimize production disruptions and meet inventory targets. You will work closely with suppliers, production, and logistics, making you a central part of our client's supply chain.

This is a consulting assignment where you are employed by us at Academic Work, and then you will work on-site at our client's premises. More details about the client will be revealed in the next step.

Responsibilities

As an operational material planner, you are responsible for securing the short-term need for raw materials and optimizing inventory levels for smooth production.

  • Create and maintain purchasing schedules based on production plans and demand signals (MRP and reorder points).
  • Ensure correct inventory levels by placing purchase orders on time and managing internal inventory transfers between different units.
  • Monitor silo levels for bulk materials and schedule incoming trucks efficiently.
  • Handle inventory discrepancies, schedule changes, and cancellations.
  • Analyze changes in demand and maintain master data in the business system to ensure high quality in system-supported planning.
  • Maintain close dialogue with suppliers, production, and logistics.

Requirements

  • Completed upper secondary education.
  • Very good understanding of replenishment processes, planning principles, and distribution networks.
  • Experience with IT systems and functionalities related to Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
  • Fluent in both Swedish and English, spoken and written.
  • Available to start immediately and work full-time during the summer period.
