The role of Design Manager is new to the company and has been created to consolidate and strengthen the overall technical responsibility between design, production, and business operations.

Responsibilities

As Design Manager at Skruva Teknik, you will work operationally as a designer but with clear overall responsibility that extends beyond the drawing board. In this new role, you are involved all the way – from quotation work and technical dialogue with the customer to design, production preparation, and support in the workshop. You are responsible for ensuring that designs work in practice, both technically, commercially, and production-wise. The role involves close collaboration with the production manager, quality assurance, suppliers, and customers, where you serve as internal technical support. Since the role is new, you will have the opportunity to establish structure, working methods, and technical guidelines within your area of responsibility. Projects vary in scope – from short-term assignments to longer projects. In this role, you will also have an important task in building up and developing the company's work regarding welding certification, where your competence will have an impact on the operations.

Examples of responsibilities:

• Prepare, update, and quality-assure drawings, technical documentation, and bills of materials

• Design and further develop screw conveyors and welded structures

• Adapt designs based on production, material selection, tolerances, and assembly

• Participate in quotation work, technical calculations, and technical dialogue with customers

• Troubleshoot and support production during technical challenges and contribute to work on welding certification

Education, experience, and personal qualities

• Several years of experience as a designer within the workshop or manufacturing industry

• Independent user of CAD, preferably Inventor and/or SolidWorks

• Experience with the ERP system Monitor

• Good knowledge of Swedish and English

• Class B driver's license

Merits
