Welcome to Vårdcentralen Vadstena and Vårdcentralen Marieberg, which have been a joint operational area since April 2025. This change aims to create a robust operation prepared for future demographic challenges. Together, the facilities currently serve approximately 16,000 registered patients and employ around 65 staff members.

Job Description

We are looking for someone interested in driving and developing the health center's work with us, utilizing new digital technology, and engaging patients through a person-centered approach.

This is a shared position where you will collaborate with district physicians and doctors at various stages of their training in both Marieberg and Vadstena to help create the new joint organization.

We aim to work with primary care, drive collaborations with other actors to create high-quality patient-centered care. This position is specifically focused on the elderly care clinic (SÄBO) to launch a joint elderly care unit.

A chief physician is employed who, together with the medical team, works to create a good working environment from both a group and individual perspective. We are finding new ways to ensure patient safety and teamwork across all professional categories. Currently, there are 6.5 permanent district physicians across both health centers, along with 5 resident physicians (ST-läkare) and licensed/locum physicians.

We believe you will appreciate the ability to switch between the advantages of a small health center with short decision-making paths and close collaboration with all staff, and the slightly larger Vårdcentralen in Motala, which houses a training clinic. We value your development and competence, offering continuous further training. The health center's physicians also participate in primary and backup duty assignments for the western part of the county during on-call hours.

Education and Experience

The requirement for the position is that you are a specialist in general practice or another specialist in a related field such as geriatrics or internal medicine, with an interest in general practice that the employer deems equivalent. You must hold a Swedish medical license (to be attached to the application) and Swedish language skills equivalent to level C1. You must have good communication skills with patients, colleagues, and other organizations. Experience in primary care is an asset.

As a person, you are social, confident, and mature. You find it easy to collaborate and have a good ability to structure your work. You have a strong commitment to the general practice working method and preferably a special interest in our elderly patients and their specific needs. You contribute to a good work climate with a positive and professional approach, working in teams to solve challenges together and acting in accordance with decisions, policies, and guidelines. We place great importance on your personal qualities.

Permanent employment with a start date to be agreed upon. The employment rate is 100%, but if there is a wish for a different percentage distribution, it can be discussed. The position is based at Vårdcentralen Marieberg. Start date to be agreed upon.
