Do you want to work in a strategic role where you can combine analysis, business acumen, and collaboration in a global context? We are currently seeking an experienced Supply Planner for an exciting consulting assignment with a significant impact on the organization's planning capabilities. 📊🌍
About the Assignment
As a Supply Planner, you will be responsible for driving and developing the supply planning process at both regional and global levels. You will work closely with sales, product management, and supply chain teams to ensure accurate forecasting and contribute to well-founded business decisions.
You will lead the entire process from statistical forecasting to validation and delivery of a comprehensive demand forecast. The role also involves a strong focus on continuous improvement, analysis, and the development of working methods.
📍 Location: Fagersta (possibility for partial remote work, approx. 25%).
📅 Period: April 20, 2026 – October 18, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end supply planning process.
- Ensure accurate and complete forecasting across the entire product portfolio.
- Collaborate with sales, product management, and other functions.
- Integrate supply planning with internal and external stakeholders.
- Actively work on product lifecycle management (phase-in/phase-out).
- Drive improvement initiatives within forecasting and processes.
- Analyze data, identify deviations, and take corrective actions.
- Contribute to the development of working methods, tools, and best practices.
- Communicate forecasts and risks to relevant stakeholders.
Requirements
- Strong analytical skills with experience in interpreting data and trends.
- Experience with supply planning systems and advanced planning tools.
- Good understanding of S&OP processes.
- Ability to collaborate, communicate, and influence various stakeholders.
- Structured and proactive working style.
- Experience with continuous improvement within supply chain.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply planning in a regional or global environment.
- Experience with forecasting and scenario planning.
Education
- Relevant higher education in Supply Chain, Industrial Economics, Logistics, or similar.
- Alternatively, equivalent extensive work experience.
- Basic knowledge of statistics and forecasting methods.
