About the Role

In this role, you will enjoy a dynamic and varied daily routine where you are a key person in keeping flows and collaborations running. You will maintain ongoing contact with suppliers via email and phone, acting as a vital link between various internal departments. You will handle delivery-related inquiries and ensure everything arrives as intended – while quickly and solution-orientedly addressing any deviations. The role also involves managing smaller orders from need to delivery, following up on price changes, and participating in dialogues with suppliers when conditions change. Additionally, you will work on administrative tasks related to procurement, such as invoice handling and corrections, giving you a holistic view of the procurement process.

This is a consulting assignment where you will be employed by Academic Work and have the opportunity to work with one of our attractive partner companies. The assignment begins with a period of 3–6 months and offers excellent chances for extension, provided the collaboration works well for all parties. Responsibilities

  • Manage procurement flows and collaborations between suppliers and internal departments.
  • Maintain ongoing contact with suppliers and handle delivery issues and deviations in a quick and solution-oriented manner.
  • Be responsible for smaller orders from need to delivery, as well as follow-up on price changes and dialogue with suppliers.
  • Perform administrative work related to procurement, such as invoice handling and corrections, giving you a broad understanding of the entire process.

We are looking for you who

  • Have a relevant post-secondary education in economics or procurement.
  • Have previous experience working in procurement.
  • Can communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing, as these languages are used in daily work.
  • Have good computer skills and good knowledge of the Office package, primarily Excel.
  • Hold a B driver's license and have access to a car.

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Experience working with business systems.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Live in Umeå.
