Do you want to work closely with technology and production in an environment where every project is unique? We are now looking for a Project Manager to join Ö-varvet.

At Ö-varvet, we specialize in service, conversion, repair, and maintenance of vessels. Our clients are within the commercial sector, and our projects vary in both scope and content, making the work diverse and developmental. We have a long tradition in the shipyard industry and today work on technically complex projects where technology, planning, and economics must work together.

Responsibilities

You will work on projects where the client is the Swedish Defence Forces. Typically, you will be responsible for one larger project at a time, with overall responsibility from planning to delivery. The work involves project engineering, monitoring schedules and budgets, and driving the project forward together with production, site managers, and suppliers. The role involves many points of contact and serves as a vital link between the client, technology, and production. You will:

• Lead projects from planning to delivery
• Be responsible for budget, follow-up, and forecasting
• Coordinate technical issues and ensure drawings are followed
• Ensure that requirements and regulations are met
• Plan resources and direct work in production
• Maintain ongoing dialogue with clients, suppliers, and colleagues
• Ensure delivery on time and with the right quality

As a Project Manager with us, you will work on technically advanced projects and play a central role in the collaboration between client, technology, and production.

We are looking for someone with a technical background from marine operations or a related industry, for example, work with ship systems, piping systems, valves, or process industry. You have experience working on larger projects and have a good understanding of economics, budgeting, and follow-up.

You do not need to have held a formal project manager role previously, but experience from production, site management, or technical roles within shipyards or industry is highly valuable. We believe you are structured, clear, and solution-oriented, and that you enjoy collaborating with colleagues from different parts of the organization. You also need to:

• Speak and write Swedish and English fluently
• Have a driver's license as travel may be required
• Have good computer skills

Ö-varvet is a newbuild and repair/service shipyard performing dry-docking, repair/service, conversion, newbuilding, and marine electronics in Öckerö. Our mechanical production takes place in Hönö, where we manufacture, for example, winches as well as steel and aluminum structures.

We are located in a fantastic environment on Öckerö. If you live on the islands, you likely know how to get here, but getting to us from the city is also easy. Ferries depart every ten minutes from Lilla Varholmen, and the journey takes only 12 minutes. Once across, it is only a couple of kilometers to the Shipyard, and there are both bus connections and a fine bicycle path.
