As a teacher in operations technology, power, and heat production, you will hold a central and advisory role in the education program, contributing structure, experience, and a clear industry perspective. You will work closely with educational leadership and the industry to ensure that content and delivery maintain high quality and are grounded in real-world needs.
The role is broad, involving planning, teaching, and developing the curriculum. You will operate in various contexts with a focus on creating a clear link between theory and practice, preparing students for work in modern power and heat plants.
About the Role
In this role, you are responsible for planning, delivering, and developing teaching within one or more technical areas related to operations technology, power, and heat production. You will contribute to creating a structured and engaging learning environment where theory and practice are integrated.
Teaching is conducted on-site in Gothenburg and includes both theoretical and practical components.
You will:
Plan, deliver, and follow up on teaching within one or more specialist areas.
Lead both theoretical and practical sessions (e.g., laboratories, case studies, and simulations).
Connect teaching to real operational environments and current industry challenges.
Develop course materials, exercises, and examinations with high relevance.
Support students in their learning and professional development.
Collaborate with educational leadership and industry representatives.
Provide support for work placement follow-ups and thesis projects as needed.
You have:
Several years of experience in operations, maintenance, or process work within combined heat and power (CHP) or similar industries.
Strong technical understanding of plants, systems, and processes.
Competence in areas such as combustion, thermal engineering, water chemistry, or control and regulation technology.
The ability to translate theory into practical application.
Good communication skills and experience in explaining complex relationships in a pedagogical manner.
Excellent knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. English is an asset.
