About Us

The Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic Eskilstuna is a general psychiatric outpatient clinic for adults and is part of the Psychiatric Clinic at Mälarsjukhuset. The clinic is centrally located with easy access to both train and bus connections.

We employ approximately 60 staff members with various professions and treatment specializations. The operation is organized into four teams:

• two general psychiatric teams
• one ADHD team
• one bipolar team

We have a large and well-functioning group of psychologists with broad competence and varying experience. Psychologists working here include those with CBT and psychodynamic orientations, as well as those with a special interest in neuropsychiatric assessments. The group includes specialist psychologists, psychologists in specialty training (STP), psychotherapists, psychologists in pre-specialty training (PTP), psychology assistants, and a psychologist conducting part-time research.

Your Responsibilities

We are currently seeking two licensed psychologists or PTP-psychologists for placement in our general psychiatric teams.

The work includes:

• psychological treatment individually and in groups
• participation in cross-team psychological interventions, such as group therapies
• assessment interviews and treatment planning
• diagnostic assessments, independently or in collaboration with other professions
• assessments of, among other things, neuropsychiatric conditions and personality disorders

We currently offer various group therapies, including Hesslinger, CPT (group therapy for PTSD), and ERGT.

As a psychologist, you will actively participate in treatment conferences and contribute your psychological expertise to the planning of patient care. Supervision is an integral part of the work and is provided regularly, both internally and externally. We also offer excellent opportunities for professional development.

For PTP-psychologists, Region Sörmland has a well-developed PTP program with regular meetings and support from a PTP study director.

Your Competence

We are looking for you who:

• is a licensed psychologist or holds a psychology degree and is seeking a PTP position
• has experience working in adult psychiatry or similar operations (meritorious)
• is secure and stable in your professional role
• works independently, takes responsibility, and can adapt to the needs of the operation
• has good collaboration skills and contributes to a positive working climate
• has a professional approach and a holistic view in the encounter with the patient

Great importance is attached to personal suitability.

Employment Type

Permanent employment for licensed psychologists / fixed-term PTP position for one year.
Start date according to agreement.
