Now, we are looking for a Medical Responsibility for Rehabilitation (MAR) for the social services administration.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

As MAR in Flen Municipality, you will play a decisive role in providing our residents with the conditions to live as independent and meaningful a life as possible. The position is newly established based on legal requirements coming into force on July 1, 2026, giving you a unique opportunity to help shape the function from the ground up. You will become our expert and guarantee that all rehabilitation within the municipality's area of responsibility maintains high medical quality, is safe, and adapted to the individual's needs.

Your assignment spans both strategic and operational issues. You have overall management responsibility for developing and implementing the guidelines that govern how we assess, plan, implement, and follow up on rehabilitation measures. This means you will continuously evaluate our working methods to ensure we work in an evidence-based and legally secure manner.

A central part of your daily work is collaboration. You will work in close dialogue with department heads and unit managers to support them in quality work, and you will have close cooperation with our Medical Responsible Nurse (MAS). By investigating deviations, identifying risks, and driving improvement projects, you will contribute directly to safe care and welfare where the patient's safety always comes first.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE:

  • You are a licensed occupational therapist or equivalent as assessed by the employer.
  • You have several years of experience in rehabilitation operations within municipal health and medical care.
  • You have good knowledge and experience of current legislation.
  • You have experience working with quality assurance that governs operations within the board's area of responsibility.
  • You hold a Class B driver's license.

WE VALUE THE FOLLOWING HIGHLY:

  • Experience with previous MAR assignments and/or quality and development work.
  • Relevant further education, such as the Development Program for MAS, MAR, and Operations Manager, or a medical law advanced course for MAS/MAR.
