Job Description

Our client in Malmö is currently seeking a Facility Technician for a consulting assignment, initially for 6–12 months, with an immediate start.

Are you a pragmatic problem-solver who thrives in a broad role where tasks vary between high and low intensity? In this position, you will have overall responsibility for the operations of two large office buildings and a hall. You will work both practically with operational optimization of ventilation, cooling, and heating, and strategically with maintenance planning, request for quotations, and coordinating contractors, much like a project manager.

We are looking for someone who is a pragmatic and proactive problem-solver who enjoys an environment where no two days are alike. Since the role involves everything from technical details to overarching planning, we require you to be structured and have a good ability to prioritize your tasks when the pace is high. You are a communicative person who easily builds trust-based relationships with both tenants and contractors. You take great personal responsibility for your properties and are driven to find the most effective solutions, whether it concerns an urgent fault report or a complex maintenance plan.

Responsibilities

• Work on operational optimization of indoor climate and energy consumption, as well as perform functional checks and troubleshooting of technical systems such as ventilation, cooling, and heating.
• Administer and plan long-term ongoing maintenance and conduct status inspections of properties and facilities.
• Lead, plan, and follow up on work performed by external contractors, as well as handle request for quotations.
• Be responsible for fire safety inspections (SBA work), participate in authority inspections, and manage service, refrigerant, and OVK documentation.
• Participate in financial follow-up, budgeting, and invoice verification.
• Ensure that first aid equipment and protective materials are available and stocked.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical facility management, preferably with a focus on ventilation, cooling, and heating.
• Accustomed to working with maintenance planning and coordination of contractors.
• Good administrative skills and basic economic understanding of budgeting and invoice handling.
• Valid B driver's license for manual transmission.
• As a person, you are service-oriented, responsible, and enjoy handling many parallel projects.
