Your Responsibilities
As a teacher at Sofiaskolan, you organize, structure, and lead teaching together with your colleagues. You participate in documenting the pedagogical work. In your role, you contribute to documenting the school's joint quality work. Working as a teacher means constantly developing based on the students you meet. Capturing students' interests and creating fun and challenging teaching adapted to their abilities.
Your Competence
We are looking for a licensed preschool teacher with good skills in using computers, tablets, and other technical aids in daily work. You have a strong interest and commitment to the target group and at least six months of experience working with children or young people with autism or intellectual disabilities. You express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. It is also an advantage if you have knowledge of the curriculum for adapted primary school and experience working within adapted primary school.
We Offer
At Sofiaskolan, you will work in an operation characterized by individualized special pedagogy for students with autism and intellectual disabilities. You will become part of an engaged team teaching approximately 60 students aged 6–16, in small classes with 5–6 students per group. Our teaching is based on clear, structured, and visually supportive pedagogy, where each student's prerequisites, needs, and interests are central. We create a learning environment that gives students the opportunity to develop skills and experiences they can use in both their daily lives and the future. Additional Information
Before you can be employed, you must show a certified extract from the police criminal record register.
In connection with the interview, you need to verify your citizenship. You can do this with a passport or a certificate of citizenship together with an ID document. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must show that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the obligation to have a work permit. Employment can only take place after verification of the work permit, which is required according to the Aliens Act.
