We have about 50 students and are integrated into Ullvigymnasiet with over 1000 students.

We also have individual programs for students studying subject areas.

Our students have intellectual disabilities and may also have diagnoses such as autism, ADHD, ADD, language disorders, and physical disabilities. Students study either subjects or subject areas depending on their support needs.

We offer teaching tailored to each student's needs, focusing on clear pedagogy, visual support, and sign language as an alternative communication (TAKK).

We are now looking for a special educator

with a focus on intellectual disabilities. The position is aimed at the national programs and theoretical subjects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan and teach according to the curriculum, both orally, in writing, practically, and digitally.
• Document and assess students' development.
• Be a mentor/class teacher for students and collaborate with guardians.
• Cooperate with colleagues and the student health team to support students' development.
• Lead and distribute tasks for student assistants.
• Contribute to the school's development through ideas and improvement suggestions.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed special educator, preferably with experience in adapted schools and/or children with special needs. You are also welcome to apply if you are currently training.

Clear pedagogy is a common thread throughout your teaching in speech, body language, signs, and images. You are proficient in digital technology and use it as part of your teaching.

You have a good ability to create relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues and see it as a prerequisite for succeeding in your work.

You integrate physical activities during lessons to increase students' concentration and learning ability, creating a safe and inclusive environment where every student feels motivated to participate.
