Do you want to work in an international context where you can combine accounting, analysis, and development? We are now looking for a Legal Entity Controller for Owens Corning, a company that makes a real difference for both people and the environment.
Here, you will become an important part of the Nordic team within Accounting & Internal Controls, where you will work closely with the business to contribute to quality, structure, and continuous improvement.
The position is an assignment initially for two years with good opportunities for extension. You can either be employed by Paroc or work as a subcontractor through your own company, in which case you will go through us at Nexer.
YOUR DAY TO DAY In the role of Legal Entity Controller, you have overall responsibility for accounting and internal control for one or more legal entities in the Nordics. You will work closely with both internal teams and external Shared Services functions to ensure that financial processes follow the company's guidelines and best practices.
Your tasks include, among others:
Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting according to both US GAAP and local accounting standards
Responsible for annual reports, tax returns, audits, VAT, and other reporting to authorities and the parent company
Maintaining strong internal controls and ensuring SOX compliance
Handling and quality-assuring payroll-related accounting
Actively working on improvements and process efficiency
Participating in or driving standardization projects at a European level
Ensuring good collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
You will become part of a Nordic team responsible for operations in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland.
WHO ARE YOU? We are looking for someone with a solid foundation in accounting who is also driven to understand the big picture and improve it.
You are confident in your competence and used to taking responsibility for your own areas, while also thriving in an international environment where cross-border collaboration is a natural part of daily life.
You have:
A bachelor's degree in economics, accounting, or finance
At least 3-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a larger or international organization
Good understanding of accounting principles (preferably both local GAAP and US GAAP)
Experience working with year-end closing, reporting, and internal control
System skills and an interest in how digital tools can streamline work (SAP is a plus)
Very good English skills, both written and spoken
But what really makes you succeed in this role is your personality!
You are analytical and enjoy diving into numbers, but equally important is your ability to step back and see connections. You are structured, meticulous, and have a strong sense of quality, while not getting stuck in old ways of working.
You are also:
Curious and improvement-driven; you see opportunities where others see routines
Communicative and pedagogical; you can explain complex relationships in a simple way
Independent but unpretentious; you take responsibility for your work and are happy to help where needed
Confident in collaborating with different functions and cultures
Simply put, we believe you are someone who wants more than just to “do the job”; you want to help develop it.
