Our municipality, and thus our operations, is growing, and we need more educators. For Ånge and Fränsta Primary School (grades 6–9) as well as Boberg Upper Secondary School, we are now recruiting a Spanish teacher for the autumn term 2026. In the Education Department, we work according to "the red thread" – a shared vision of development and learning with a democratic foundation in all our operations. In Ånge Municipality, we train all our staff on neurodevelopmental disorders (NPF) to ensure our operations are NPF-secure. We also train all staff in mental training and in what a language- and knowledge-developing approach (SKUA) entails.
Responsibilities
You will collaborate with other teachers and be part of a teaching team. Mentoring is included in the position. You will conduct pedagogical planning, deliver, and evaluate your teaching according to Lgr 22. You hold the pedagogical responsibility for the instruction. We work collegially to develop our operations to be accessible pedagogically, physically, and socially. Our goal is to be an NPF-secure school. You view collaboration with your colleagues, parents, and external actors as a matter of course. You share your knowledge and experiences.
Qualifications
We are looking for a certified Spanish teacher. You have a low-arousal approach and a good ability to build good relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and management. You have a positive and inclusive attitude where you prioritize the student's best interests. You possess good problem-solving skills, teamwork abilities, and social competence; you are flexible and loyal. Based on trust-based management and leadership, we expect you to take personal responsibility within given frameworks. You advocate for predictability, clarity, security, and participation. You are convinced that the quality of teaching makes a difference and that teaching therefore needs to be differentiated so that all students can reach as far as possible in their learning.
About the Organization
Ånge Primary School consists of two buildings but operates as one school: Björken (Pre-school/Primary, grades 1–5) and Ugglan (grades 6–9). Ånge Primary School currently has approximately 350 students. The principals share a common ambition to lead and distribute work at the schools based on trust and confidence. The school's motto is: "Health and learning go hand in hand." We have high expectations of ourselves as well as of every employee. Boberg Upper Secondary School consists of approximately 100 students and is located about 200 meters from Ånge Primary School. Ånge Primary School is organized with teaching staff, a safety team, playground teachers, and a student health team. Playground teachers work at the after-school center in the afternoons; during school hours, they serve as safety personnel for one grade level each (grades 1–6), offering organized break activities during students' recess and serving as resources during lessons. The safety team works with students in one grade level each for grades 7–9; they are responsible for safety and well-being by offering activities during breaks and serving as resources during lessons. The student health team includes counselors, school nurses, special education teachers, special pedagogues, career counselors, and principals. We also have access to a school psychologist, school doctor, and speech therapist. Every week, the student health team participates in student health meetings (EHM) with the teaching teams and in student health team meetings (EHT). We collaborate with Ånge Model Youth, Social Services, the Child and Youth Center, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP), Habilitation, the health center, Police, and others. The school is located in Ånge center, which means we are within walking distance of an ice rink, football pitches, athletics track, riding hall, disc golf, outdoor gym, multi-sport arena, gym, illuminated trails, forests, green areas, hiking trails, bathing spot, library, community center/civic house with cinema, theater workshop, music school/culture school, municipal building, train and bus station, numerous shops, restaurants, and cafes. We have excellent collaboration opportunities with the business community and associations. We have good commuting options by train from both Östersund and Sundsvall, within walking distance of the school. Your employment will be within education in Ånge Municipality.
