As a Quality Engineer at Fergas, you will take on a broad, operationally focused role with a strong emphasis on continuous improvement, customer dialogue, and quality assurance throughout the entire value chain. A key part of the assignment is to bridge the gap between production, design, and quality, ensuring that we work in a structured, preventive manner with the right focus.

You will work with non-conformance management, customer complaints, and root cause analysis, which constitutes a central part of the role. At the same time, you will drive improvements in production and operations, challenging and supporting the organization on quality issues. The role also includes working with and developing management systems according to ISO standards, participating in FMEA work, and contributing to our sustainability efforts, such as supplier data and chemical handling. In the long term, there is also an opportunity to help develop methodologies regarding life cycle assessment.

The role operates at the intersection of production and product development. You do not need to own every detail, but you must understand the big picture, ask the right questions, and drive the work forward. You will work closely with several functions, particularly production technology, design, and procurement.

• Drive and follow up on non-conformance management and perform root cause analyses

• Handle customer complaints and contribute to dialogue with both customers and suppliers

• Identify and drive improvement initiatives in production and operations

• Support the organization on quality issues through structure, working methods, and training

• Work with and further develop management systems and participate in internal audits

• Participate in FMEA work and quality assurance in both production and development

We believe you have a few years of experience in quality within an industrial environment and that you are confident in driving issues forward, even when clarity and structure are required.

You do not need to know everything from the start. What matters is that you have the right foundation, the right attitude, and a willingness to develop together with us.

We look for candidates who have:

• Experience in quality work within industry

• Good understanding of ISO9001 and ISO14001

• Experience with non-conformance management or root cause analysis

• Experience working with customers or suppliers on quality issues

It is an advantage if you have experience with, for example, IATF16949, FMEA, statistical methods, or LEAN, as well as an interest in production or product development from a quality perspective.

You are clear, communicative, and have the ability to engage others, while remaining principled and willing to stand your ground when necessary.
