Job Description

ABBA The Museum and Avicii Experience are two iconic, experience-based museums in central Stockholm celebrating Swedish music and pop culture. ABBA The Museum offers interactive exhibitions, original artifacts, and public programs about the band's history, while Avicii Experience creates an empathetic, multimedia tribute to Tim Bergling's music and legacy. Together, we reach a broad, international audience, combining strong brands with high production quality.

About the Role

As Sales Lead, you will be responsible for operationally leading and developing sales for ABBA The Museum and Avicii Experience. The role combines clear ownership of our booking and ticketing systems with more strategic and developmental work regarding sales channels, groups, program activities, and partnerships.

You will act as the hub between sales, marketing, operations, and external partners, with the mandate to drive improvements that strengthen both revenue and the visitor experience. The role is hands-on but with a clear focus on development.

Approximately 20% of the role involves operational work with our ticketing system, while the remaining time is dedicated to communicating with customers, developing, and optimizing our sales processes and offerings. The role entails clear ownership of our ticketing system, where you will work operationally within the tool and drive the development of how we use the system for pricing, availability, and sales flows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the operational sales structure within our ticketing system.
  • Ensure correct setup of ticket types, prices, availability, and campaigns.
  • Monitor occupancy, sales, and revenue, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and structure our sales channels (B2B, groups, partners, travel organizers).
  • Work systematically with group sales, including schools, companies, tourism, and international actors.
  • Plan and conduct site visits, tours, and relationship-building meetings with key partners.
  • Develop how we work with program activities, events, and add-on offerings as part of sales at both museums.
  • Identify, package, and commercialize programs and experiences that strengthen both revenue and visitor experience, e.g., through VIP packages, special tours, previews, themed evenings, and seasonal offers.
  • Create clear offers, packaging, and workflows that facilitate sales and booking.
  • Contribute to a more efficient and scalable way of working between sales, marketing, and operations.
  • Serve as the contact point for larger or more complex sales inquiries.
  • Ensure clear internal communication regarding bookings, groups, and programs.
  • Contribute with analysis, insights, and proposals to management on how sales can develop over time.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in sales or sales leadership in an operational role.
  • Documented experience working with ticketing systems.
  • Experience from the visitor industry, museums, culture, events, or tourism.
  • Good understanding of sales logic, occupancy, pricing, and customer journeys.
  • Experience working with groups, B2B sales, and partners.
  • Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
  • Good system proficiency and confidence in working with follow-up, analysis, and action.
  • Accustomed to working towards KPIs and goals.

Personal Attributes

As a person, you are structured, self-driven, and take clear responsibility for your work. You thrive in a role where you can drive issues forward and combine operational work with development and improvement.

You have a natural commercial drive and are motivated to develop sales, identify new opportunities, and create offers that strengthen both revenue and the visitor experience. At the same time, you have a strong service mindset and enjoy building and developing relationships – both internally and with external partners.

You are analytical and solution-oriented, with the ability to see connections between sales, visitor flows, pricing, and offers. This role suits you if you appreciate a dynamic environment with a high pace where collaboration is a natural part of the work.

Location and Reporting

The position is based in Stockholm and reports to the Head of Exhibitions. The role involves close collaboration with management, marketing, operations, and front of house for both ABBA The Museum and Avicii Experience.

We are a humble and collaboration-driven organization where everyone contributes to the whole. This means that, when needed, you may support tasks outside the formal role. We are a small, engaged team working closely together with short decision-making paths and a strong sense of shared responsibility.

ABBA The Museum and Avicii Experience are part of Pophouse Entertainment, a company that invests in and develops some of the world's strongest brands in music and entertainment. Work is primarily conducted from our office in central Stockholm and on-site at ABBA The Museum and Avicii Experience, providing a close connection to both the operations and the visitor experience.

Do you want to help develop sales for two of Sweden's most iconic music experiences? With us, you will work in a creative environment where music, culture, and visitor experiences are at the center. If this role sounds like something for you, we look forward to hearing from you!
