We are seeking Specialists in bridges, earthworks, rock engineering, surveying, or electrical/lighting for the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket).

This is a consultancy assignment. The location is Stockholm.

The position is available at 50-100%.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, requiring high flexibility and strong teamwork skills.

The Assignment

The role consists of supporting project management with specialist competence in several technical areas to ensure the client's responsibilities and compliance with contract requirements. The individual must maintain an independent position relative to the contractor and act as a contract partner to the client without the mandate to make decisions on contractual matters.

Responsibilities

  • Assist project management with expertise in bridge engineering, earthworks and geotechnics, rock engineering, surveying, and electrical/lighting systems.
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements.
  • Maintain an independent position relative to the contracted contractor.
  • Act as a contract partner to the client, not the contractor.
  • Follow assignment-specific descriptions and delivery lists.
  • Support project management for Object 1 (Road 274/1004 Kulla/Svinninge) and Object 2 (Road 274 Hemmesta intersection).
  • Possible participation in Object 3 (Road 542 Trollsta intersection) and Object 4 (Road 522 Tuna).
  • Contribute to ensuring traffic safety, accessibility, and correct construction according to the project plan.
  • Handle issues regarding different personnel categories at the supplier.
  • Follow up and implement measures according to the specific planning of the objects (sidewalks, bike paths, bus stops, lighting, etc.).

Requirements (NOTE: Mandatory)

  • Ability to express oneself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
  • Class B driver's license.
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience (as a construction manager or in a supervisory function such as production manager, site manager, construction site supervisor, or equivalent) in one or more of the following technical areas: Bridge engineering, Earthworks and geotechnics, Rock engineering, Surveying, Electrical and lighting.
  • Work experience must not be older than 10 years.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, as well as standards and ordinances within the relevant area.
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience (as a construction manager or in a supervisory function) in road construction according to the aforementioned technical areas.
  • Documented training in Construction Environmental Coordination (not older than 5 years).
