We are seeking a Utility Coordination Specialist within urban development and infrastructure for a public entity responsible for traffic and urban environment.

This is a consulting assignment based in Stockholm. The assignment starts immediately and runs until June 30, 2026, with the possibility of extension.

The scope of the assignment is approximately 30% of full-time.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork skills.

The Assignment

As a Utility Coordination Specialist in the project related to Reimersholme Bridge, you are responsible for ensuring efficient and coordinated management of existing and planned utilities in connection with detailed design. The role involves close collaboration with designers and other stakeholders, where you contribute to identifying and managing technical prerequisites, minimizing risks, and ensuring that produced documentation is feasible and well-coordinated.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate issues regarding existing and planned utilities within the project area
• Support designers in detailed design work where coordination with multiple utility owners is required
• Maintain dialogue and contact with relevant utility owners
• Collect, compile, and communicate utility information
• Identify and manage utility conflicts in the design process
• Ensure that the design considers relevant requirements, guidelines, and regulations
• Participate in design meetings and other coordination meetings as needed
• Contribute to technically feasible and coordinated solutions between different stakeholders
• Contribute to the preparation and updating of the work environment plan, particularly regarding the identification and management of risks related to utilities

Requirements (Mandatory)

• You have documented experience working as a utility coordinator in land, development, street, or infrastructure projects.
• You have documented experience coordinating issues between clients, utility owners, designers, contractors, and other relevant stakeholders.
• You have experience with utility rerouting, protective measures, and temporary solutions.
• You have experience reviewing documentation and identifying utility-related risks and dependencies.
• Fluent Swedish in speech and writing.

Merits

• You have experience with phased implementation and coordination of utility issues in projects with a high impact on traffic and accessibility.
• You have experience with joint laying and coordination between several technical areas.
• You have experience coordinating with municipalities, public transport operators, external developers, and authorities.
• You have worked with risk management related to utility issues.
• You have particularly good experience in driving utility issues independently and proactively in projects with high coordination requirements.
