Your role with us

As a psychologist within pediatric habilitation, you will be part of a team together with occupational therapists, social workers, speech therapists, physicians, physiotherapists, nurses, dietitians, and special educators. Teamwork is our most important tool to promote the patient's participation and optimal ability for independence.

You are responsible for the psychological assessment and treatment work for children and young people with various types of disabilities, as well as contributing the psychological perspective within the team.

You will also work on team-based tasks such as group activities, habilitation plans, collaboration, and more. Together with other psychologists at the workplace and in the region, you will work on method development within your own area of competence.

About the workplace

Habilitation in Falkenberg-Varberg is one of three clinics in Halland providing habilitative services to children, young people, and adults with various forms of congenital or early-acquired disabilities. The department is divided into three teams, two of which work with children up to 18 years old and one with adults from 18 years. The department has a vast collective experience and a desire and willingness for continuous development to meet patients' needs in the best possible way.

Currently, we are recruiting a psychologist for the children's team in Falkenberg. The location can be discussed as we are facing a change that will make it possible to gather the entire staff group in Varberg.

Your profile

We are looking for a licensed psychologist with experience in assessment and treatment work with children and adolescents, preferably within habilitation.

Since we work in teams, good collaboration skills with both team colleagues, the patient's network, and partners are essential. You feel secure in your professional role and act with self-confidence, both in your independent work and in teamwork. Furthermore, you are good at motivating others, giving advice, support, and creating opportunities for development. You are open to learning new things and contribute to the team with your knowledge. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
