Specialist Physician with Interest in Rehabilitation

We are now looking for a specialist physician with an interest in rehabilitation for our care department in Kungsbacka.

About the Position

The care department at Hallands Hospital Kungsbacka is focused on rehabilitation and palliative inpatient care. The department cares for patients with complex illnesses and needs for coordinated medical treatment, rehabilitation, and symptom relief. Patients are often older individuals who, after acute illnesses or injuries, require continued medical treatment and rehabilitation to regain function and independence.

The work is conducted in multiprofessional teams with doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nursing assistants, and dietitians. The focus is on optimizing medical treatment, supporting the rehabilitation process, and contributing to the best possible quality of life for the patients. The medical staffing in the department consists of several physicians within the clinic, and the work is carried out in close collaboration with other physicians in palliative medicine. The size of Hallands Hospital allows for short decision-making paths and good opportunities for collaboration between different specialties.

The care department in Kungsbacka is part of the oncology and palliative medicine clinic at Hallands Hospital, which operates throughout Halland. The clinic includes elective oncological outpatient care at treatment units in Halmstad and Varberg, as well as palliative consultation teams (PKT) in Kungsbacka, Varberg, Falkenberg, and Halmstad. There is an opportunity to contribute to the PKT's activities if needed.

The work is conducted during daytime on weekdays.

Qualifications

You are a specialist physician in rehabilitation medicine, internal medicine, or general medicine. Other specialties may also be relevant if you have relevant experience that the employer assesses as equivalent, as well as a clear interest in rehabilitation and palliative care.

We prefer that you have experience working with older patients and complex illnesses. The work requires broad medical competence and the ability to work in multiprofessional teams. You are responsible, structured, and have a good attitude towards both patients and colleagues. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

A valid B driver's license is required for this position.
