Do you want to be part of a rehabilitation team that follows the patient from injury/illness to an active everyday life in a varied operation with great medical breadth? We are now looking for a nurse for evening shifts on a temporary summer position.

Job Responsibilities

With us, you will have the opportunity to work in a creative environment focused on providing our patients with individualized rehabilitation with high patient participation. Here in department 51, you as a nurse combine acute medical care with the benefit of getting to know the patient and coaching them towards new goals.

The team consists of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, speech therapists, doctors, psychologists, nurses, rehabilitation assistants, rehabilitation coaches, and nursing assistants. It is the team together with the patient and relatives who shape the goals for rehabilitation.

Here, you will have close collaboration with patients over a longer care period, with the opportunity to get to know them deeply - a great advantage in our view!

About the Workplace

We are a rehabilitation medical unit in Halland consisting of inpatient care and day rehabilitation. Our patients are adults, and the most common diagnoses are stroke, brain injuries, and spinal cord injuries. We work in two teams. The goal of rehabilitation is increased activity and participation in a changed life situation. The goal for the patient is to return to an active life, and the average length of stay is about 25 days.

Halland Hospital includes the emergency hospitals in Halmstad and Varberg, and we also conduct planned operations in Kungsbacka. Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. You need to have a strong interest and commitment to rehabilitation but also competence in acute medical care.

A pedagogical approach is a prerequisite for being able to guide the patient in various training situations. You have the ability to build relationships with our patients and relatives, even with patients with cognitive difficulties. We offer all new employees, regardless of professional experience, a mentor as well as internal training to increase your knowledge and strengthen you in your professional role.
