The Role of Care Assistant or Aide with Us

As a care assistant or aide, you work closely with clients who need support in their daily lives. The role is practical, social, and important for creating security and a good quality of life for the clients.

Common Tasks:

• Assist clients with personal care such as hygiene, dressing, and mobility
• Support during meals, cooking, and serving
• Perform light cleaning, make beds, and handle laundry
• Provide social support and contribute to community and activity
• Observe clients' well-being and report changes to the care team
• In some cases, manage medication distribution after delegation

Our units in Kungsbacka are divided into four districts: North, South, West, and Center. In your application, you will be able to express your interest in specific care homes. We try to accommodate preferences but cannot guarantee that these will be fulfilled. Each district includes the following:

• District North: Särö Care and Support Home, Sandlyckan Care and Support Home, Blåvingevägen Care and Support Home, Kullavik Home Care, and Vallda Home Care.
• District South: Åsa Care and Support Home, Måhaga Care and Support Home, Löftagården Care and Support Home, and Åsa/Frillesås Home Care.
• District West: Kolla Care and Support Home and Bedagården Care and Support Home, Onsala Home Care, and City/Varla Home Care.
• District Center: Björkris Care and Support Home, Hede/Älvsåker Home Care, Gullregnet Home Care, and Öster Home Care.

Your Profile

As a person, you have a positive and service-oriented attitude and are attentive to those around you. You easily build new relationships and value your existing collaborations. You take responsibility for your tasks, work systematically, and drive your work forward with a good ability to prioritize. You see changes as opportunities, and you are happy to contribute your own initiatives and new working methods when needed. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. We are looking for someone who:

• is at least 18 years old
• expresses themselves well in Swedish, both spoken and written, as this is required in daily work
• holds a B driver's license (only a requirement in certain home care services and resource teams)

Our Offer and Additional Information

We offer permanent full-time employment with placement according to agreement. The schedule we base our work on is set for days, evenings, and every other weekend. In resource operations, more day shifts may occur, but evening shifts are still common as well as shifts every other weekend.

The positions are full-time or according to agreement. Within the Administration for Care & Support, all employees in home care and care homes are employed at a 100% employment rate, but employees have the opportunity to reduce their desired employment rate based on the needs of the operation.

Before an employment offer, an acceptable extract from the police criminal record must be presented. The type of record extract that should be requested is for work in the home with the elderly and people with disabilities.
