Registered Nurse Wanted for Neurology Department

Are you a registered nurse with an interest in the brain and looking for a secure workplace? Then this could be a position for YOU.

Job Responsibilities

With us, ALL professional categories are equally important, regardless of what time of day or which day of the week you work. YOU are important for us to provide specific care in neurology. It is MY responsibility as a manager to provide you with good opportunities for development, and together we create the best conditions for high patient safety. Currently, there are 25 employed nurses in the department who will help YOU feel secure in YOUR new workplace.

In your role as a nurse, you will focus on acute care and good nursing.

About the Workplace

The diagnoses in 4C mainly include stroke, TIA, and neurological diseases. All departments of the medical clinic share a common responsibility for caring for general internal medicine patients.

Our team consists of various professional categories: doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, dietitians, social workers, psychologists, medical secretaries, and staff from patient service - all are equally important. Starting this fall, our team will also include a departmental pharmacist.

The department has 21 care places divided into 3 groups. The average length of stay for patients is varied but averages around 3.5 days. 4C is tasked with handling acute care, and any rehabilitation takes place at home or in Halmstad.

The workplace is constantly evolving, and we are always curious about how work methods can be developed and improved. This fall, we are working to introduce Nova Ward Board (a digital whiteboard), Nova Ward Tablet (a mini iPad), and doctors will have Nova Physician (a journal for doctors). The goal is to reduce double work, gain a better overview of what needs to be done, which will give us more time for patients.

At 4C, we are constantly working on improvements. In April 2025, the healthcare system introduced the new journal system Cosmic, and on November 26, we will take the next step by introducing a digital solution that allows us to have the journal in our pocket. This means we can work even closer to the patient, with quicker access to important information directly at the care site.

Are you curious about how AI and digital tools can change healthcare in the future? Then 4C is the right workplace for you. Here, you will be part of developing future work methods – together with an engaged team that focuses on the patient.

Scheduling is done in the TESSA system, where we take joint responsibility for covering the needs of the operation.
