Försvarshälsan Halmstad:

Försvarshälsan provides free health care for conscripts, obligated personnel, and cadets. We are an internal occupational health service for all employed personnel within Halmstad garrison. In the fall, we will also begin participating in the training of conscripts in the area of healthcare. Halmstad Garrison, like the rest of the Armed Forces, is in an expansive phase and currently has about 1100 employees, 450 conscripts, and 300 cadets. At Försvarshälsan, nurses, physiotherapists/ergonomists, doctors, psychologists, occupational health engineers, and medical secretaries work together. All professions have experience from various operations within health care.

Main Responsibilities

As a nurse at Försvarshälsan, the tasks are varied. We conduct health examinations, fitness assessments, vaccinations, and training/lectures. The position includes on-call duty and medical assessments during military exercises in the field for shorter and longer periods. Weekend and evening shifts may occur. Some assignments may take place at other locations and even outside Sweden's borders.

Qualifications:

• Licensed nurse with specialist training
• Current and relevant work experience in independent work and teamwork
• Experience in conducting training/lectures for small and large groups
• Several years of clinical professional experience
• Driving license B

The Air Defense operates on the ground and is part of the army but often collaborates with the Air Force. The Air Defense monitors the airspace with mobile sensors (such as radar), detects threats, and protects important objects and operations from attacks from the air through combat with missiles. The two air defense battalions included in the operational defense are trained and kept on standby by the Air Defense Regiment.
