We are currently looking for several experienced Embedded Software Developers for our teams in Gothenburg. With us, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement high-quality software solutions for various applications and platforms across several exciting industries such as defense, space, telecom, automotive, medical technology, and consumer products.

As part of the AFRY team, you will have the opportunity to work on innovative projects, both internally in our product development department and on-site at our clients. In your role as an Embedded Software Developer, you will:

• Develop and implement software solutions for embedded systems
• Work in cross-functional teams involving both software and hardware
• Be involved in the entire development process, from design to implementation and testing
• Participate in innovative projects both in-house and at client sites, depending on the nature of the assignment

Qualifications

We are looking for an engaged team player with a strong interest and competence in embedded systems.

To thrive and succeed in this role, you have several years of experience in C or C++ programming within embedded development, as well as good knowledge of real-time systems – preferably in combination with experience of Embedded Linux.

You also have:

• Knowledge of Python
• Experience with agile methods, such as Scrum
• The ability to quickly get up to speed with new technical challenges and project environments
• Experience working closely with both colleagues and clients

It is an advantage if you also have experience of:

• Firmware development
• Driver development
• Tools such as Jenkins, Docker, and CI/CD

For this position, it is a requirement that you are proficient in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written, as our assignments often involve contact with Swedish clients. Some assignments may also be security classified, which means you will undergo a security clearance in accordance with the Security Protection Act.
