Do you want to work on legal issues that affect competition in some of society's most central markets? With us, you contribute to well-functioning telecom markets and better conditions for consumers.
We work on what everyone takes for granted – the ability to communicate. With us, we ensure it works now and in the future, for everyone.
The Unit for Competition Regulation is one of four units within the Department for Market Regulation. We promote good competition within electronic communications so that end-users have access to a wide range of services at low prices. The unit's main focus is on the development and compliance of regulations that promote competition within electronic communications.
"I am your future manager, Emilie, and I strive to be a present and engaged leader. I am clear and transparent in my leadership and believe in giving freedom under responsibility. I am always available to support and guide when needed, while creating a work environment where you feel secure and have the opportunity to develop. For me, open dialogue and collaboration are the keys to success, and together we drive the business forward."
About the role
As a lawyer, you will work on the regulation and supervision of markets within electronic communications. The work involves analyzing competitive conditions, preparing legal investigations, and drafting decision texts that form the basis for the authority's regulation. The role also includes following up on made decisions through supervisory work and participating in legal proceedings related to these. You will have contacts with market actors and other stakeholders, contributing to the dialogue between the authority and the industry. The work is often done in cross-functional groups where legal, economic, and technical expertise collaborate. You will also have the opportunity to participate in national and international work on the harmonization and implementation of regulatory frameworks, for example, related to new EU legislation in the field of electronic communications.
About the team
At the unit, lawyers and economists work together on issues at the forefront of digital development. The work is characterized by close collaboration between different competencies and a curiosity about how technology, markets, and regulations interact. Right now, the unit faces several new and exciting assignments, including those related to the development of the EU's regulatory framework for electronic communications. This means you will become part of a team working on current and socially important issues where law meets technology and market development.
About you
To succeed in this role, you need to be collaborative and appreciate working in groups where different competencies meet. Furthermore, you must be confident and secure in your professional role and have the ability to find constructive solutions in a complex environment. Your personal qualities are important, so we will place great emphasis on these.
We are looking for you who have:
- A Swedish law degree.
- Several years of current work experience in qualified legal work.
- Very good ability to express yourself orally and in writing in Swedish and English.
It is also an advantage if you have:
- Experience of working within the telecom sector or other regulated sectors.
- Experience of working with competition law issues.
- Experience of supervisory work.
Our offer
We take life seriously. With us, you can have a life on and off the job. If you feel good, we feel good. Therefore, we offer competitive salaries, flexible working hours, and the possibility of remote work. We also have a generous wellness allowance and two wellness hours every week.
In addition, you get favorable conditions for lunch, vacation, parental leave, pension, and sickness. Here you will work in modern activity-based premises at Hälsingegatan 38.
