ABOUT THE POSITION

We at Rehabassistans are looking for two individuals to work as personal assistants for our client in central Sollefteå. We offer two summer temporary positions which preferably transition to hourly temporary work after the summer.

Temporary Position 1: Weeks 25-33 (June 16 – Aug 13) at 50%

Temporary Position 2: Weeks 27-31 (July) at 50%

Working Hours:

• 08:00–14:00 (double assistance)

• 08:00–21:00

One assistant works 08:00–14:00 and the other 08:00–21:00.

Introduction and start date are arranged by agreement.

ABOUT THE CLIENT

Our client is a 54-year-old man with a positive outlook on life and a great sense of humor. He lives by the motto that obstacles are meant to be overcome and has a laugh that is contagious. Despite a total need for assistance in daily life, his focus is always on activity and quality of life. He has a big heart for outdoor life and makes the most of everything nature has to offer. He is a person who loves speed and excitement, evident in his active participation in Rehabassistans activities such as dog sledding and snowmobiling. On a daily basis, he enjoys long walks with his power wheelchair regardless of the weather.

Duties include:

• Occasional household chores.

• Transfers using a floor lift.

• Assistance with personal care, dressing/undressing, and meals.

• Support during training with Motomed and regular stretching exercises.

The client uses a shower chair, electric wheelchair, and manual wheelchair.

Since the client leads an active life ranging from snowmobiling to long walks, we are looking for someone who is solution-oriented and appreciates movement in nature.

REQUIREMENTS

• Fluent Swedish language skills.

• Tolerance for furry animals.

• Tolerance for smoke – the client smokes outdoors.

ASSETS

• Experience working as a personal assistant or equivalent experience.

• Healthcare education.

Employment Level: 2 summer temporary positions with the possibility of hourly temporary work after the summer period.

Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other benefits in accordance with collective agreements.

To be employed by us at Rehabassistans, you need a BankID and agree to use your BankID in the service. A prerequisite for starting employment with us is that you as an applicant can present valid ID and/or submit a personal certificate and any documents proving the right to work in Sweden. You can easily download a personal certificate from the Swedish Tax Agency's website. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.

If you are to work with children and young people under 18 years of age, you must present an extract from the criminal register. From March 1, 2026, new regulations will apply, meaning that the register check will include both an extract from the criminal register and an extract from the suspicion register. The extract is ordered via the Police Authority's e-service. Please note that processing times may vary, so orders should be made well in advance.
