The Medicines Unit

Welcome to apply for a job with us at the Medicines Unit, where you participate in ensuring the supply of medicines. The Medicines Unit gathers the pharmaceutical support of the Health and Medical Care Administration. The team consists of three pharmacists working with medicine supply, two clinical pharmacists, and a chief pharmacist. With us, you become part of an appreciated team that daily supports healthcare staff in medicine supply and handling.

Your Responsibilities

In the role of a pharmacist, you contribute to a well-functioning medicine supply where healthcare has access to medicines and pharmaceutical support. The work consists of practical tasks such as ordering, unpacking, expiry date checks in medicine stores, and work on medicine readiness. In addition, administrative tasks are included, such as providing support in shortage situations and needs for licensed medicines, assortment management, as well as contributing to good medicine economics and sustainable environmental work.

The position also includes developing and improving routines and work processes within medicine supply and handling. Improvement work regarding medicine handling is often ongoing in the unit, and depending on your previous experience and interests, there is an opportunity to actively participate in the development.

Work at the unit is characterized by collaboration – both within the own group of pharmacists but also towards the Medicine Committee, towards nurses and doctors at the hospital's care departments. Currently, there are three pharmacists working with medicine supply at the Medicines Unit.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who are a licensed pharmacist or pharmacy technician, preferably with a few years of professional experience. You have good computer skills and express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.

You are secure in your professional role, work in a structured manner, have good organizational skills, and can prioritize your work while being independent in your assignment. You have good collaboration skills, communicate clearly, and enjoy interdisciplinary cooperation. You take responsibility for your tasks and see opportunities for improvement in daily work. Furthermore, you actively contribute to a positive collaborative climate. Great importance is attached to personal suitability.
