Pjäsen Elderly Care Home

Pjäsen is a modern elderly care home centrally located in Visby, with a total of 100 apartments distributed across four floors.

We are proud of our broad competence and our engaged employees who support each other across our 10 departments. Three of these departments are specialized for residents with dementia.

At our facility, the resident is always at the center, and we work with individual care plans based on our shared values: trust, care, and participation.

Do you want to create a meaningful daily life at Pjäsen Elderly Care Home? We are currently looking for a Nursing Assistant or Care Assistant for a temporary position from June 1, 2026, to August 31, 2027.

Your Responsibilities

As a Nursing Assistant/Care Assistant, you will, among other things:

  • Create a sense of security and support users together with colleagues.
  • Help, motivate, and support users with nursing interventions based on individual needs and wishes.
  • Perform personal care and medical interventions on delegation from licensed personnel.
  • Be responsible for cooking, escorting, shopping, cleaning, and laundry.
  • Work based on individualized care plans and document with the user at the center.
  • Act as a fixed care contact/personal contact.
  • Collaborate daily with home healthcare, rehabilitation, social workers, and other home care groups.
  • Use digital planning tools in daily work.
  • Work flexibly between our departments and floors as needed.

Working hours follow a basic schedule with day and evening shifts, as well as work every other weekend.

Who Are You?

To be employed as a Nursing Assistant, you must have the right to use the protected job title according to current regulations.

If you apply as a Care Assistant, you must have completed an upper secondary education. It is an asset to have some form of education with a focus on care and welfare, such as a healthcare assistant qualification.

It is an asset if you have experience in elderly care and experience working with people with cognitive or medical disabilities, or in palliative care.

We are looking for someone with a high degree of personal maturity who can work independently with a secure and responsible approach. You are flexible and easily adapt to the needs of both the operation and the users. You contribute to a positive work climate and work well with colleagues, relatives, and other professional groups. You have pedagogical insight and can treat users in a clear, respectful, and individualized manner. Furthermore, you are service-oriented and have a holistic view where you always place the well-being of the elderly at the center.

Since all documentation and communication takes place in Swedish, it is important that you have good command of the language, both spoken and written.
