Orthopedic Department – Welcome to the Team!
At Region Gotland, you can develop and grow, both as an individual and together with others. When you work with us, you contribute to making Gotland an even better place for people in all aspects of life. We make each other better.
The Orthopedic Department at Visby Hospital
The Orthopedic Department consists of 15 care beds, distributed across two care teams. We handle both acute orthopedics and planned surgeries. We work in teams with nurses, assistant nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and doctors. During daytime, Monday to Friday, we also have an experienced nurse acting as a coordinator. The coordinator assists with coordination, serves as a knowledge resource, and is available to everyone on the department in daily work. So, if you want to work with well-functioning teams and engaged colleagues, you have come to the right place.
We work with continuous improvements and always strive to get better. It is important to us that both staff and patients feel comfortable. The Orthopedic Clinic, of which the Orthopedic Department is a part, operates under the motto: "Gotland's orthopedic activities shall offer patients orthopedic care of good quality based on the population's needs. We achieve this through good employee relations and collaboration across boundaries."
