Job Advertisement: Nurse at Pjäsen in Visby

In Region Gotland, you can develop and grow, both as an individual and together with others. When you work with us, you contribute to making Gotland an even better place for people in all walks of life. We make each other better.

Pjäsen

In central Visby, there are three special housing units – Fältgatan, Terra Nova, and Pjäsen – as well as a short-term unit.

Our mission is to create a safe, meaningful, and qualitative everyday life for our residents, based on the core values of trust, care, and participation.

Pjäsen is a special housing facility with 100 modern apartments spread over four floors. Here, there are both dementia and somatic departments, providing a varied and developing work environment. As a nurse, you will have close patient responsibility for about 20 residents and an important role in supporting and guiding colleagues in their daily work.

You will be part of a competent and dedicated team consisting of a unit manager, nursing assistants, residential assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and doctors. Together, we work for a workplace where collaboration, development, and collegial learning are in focus.

We are now looking for two nurses who want to contribute to safe and professional care for our residents.

Your Responsibilities

As a nurse with us, you will among other things:

  • Work closely with patients on examinations, assessments, care, information, and advice
  • Have overall responsibility for care and be a support to the nursing staff in their daily work
  • Lead and distribute the daily care work together with the unit manager
  • Participate in development and quality work together with the unit manager, rehabilitation staff, and other colleagues
  • Work with quality assurance through national quality registers
  • Maintain close contact with residents and their relatives
  • Collaborate with other units in Visby, especially during weekends and absences
  • Work daytime, Monday to Friday, and currently every fourth weekend

In addition to the local assignment, you will be part of Region Gotland's overall nursing team, consisting of about 24 nurses, where you regularly meet for collegial support, experience exchange, and joint development.

Who Are You?

We are looking for a licensed nurse who wants to contribute both competence and commitment to our operations.

It is advantageous if you have experience or knowledge in elderly care or similar healthcare operations. Specialist training in elderly or dementia care is seen as a benefit. Experience with quality registers, such as Senior Alert, Palliative Register, or BPSD, is also advantageous. A B driver's license is preferred.

As a person, you are confident in your profession and enjoy a role where you can combine independent responsibility with close teamwork. You are unpretentious, attentive, and easy to collaborate with all our different professional categories. We value your curiosity and openness to collegial learning, and that you actively want to contribute ideas and suggestions that develop the operations.

To succeed in the role, you need to be structured, able to prioritize well, and feel comfortable in a changing everyday life. You also have the ability to see the big picture and be able to follow up and steer the work in line with our goals and financial frameworks.

In accordance with current language requirements, you need to have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form to ensure correct documentation and communication.

Before an employment offer, an acceptable extract from the police's criminal record must be presented, here (https://polisen.se/tjanster-tillstand/belastningsregistret/kontrollera-dina-uppgifter-i-belastningsregistret/) to order.

Warm welcome with your application!
