About the Role

At an established company within the defense and security industry, you will take on a central role educating customers and showcasing future technical solutions through practical field demonstrations. This is a brand new and exciting role where you will get hands-on experience testing the company's various prototypes and products in the field. You will work closely with two colleagues on-site in Älvdalen. Since a large part of the work takes place in nature, it is important that you feel comfortable in forests and rugged terrain. You will receive comprehensive onboarding and well-prepared materials to give you the best possible conditions for the role.

The Swedish Armed Forces and our client have launched a new development project, and the business unit you will work in is developing a new type of autonomous drone swarms. This involves commercial drones equipped with new software and control systems.

The position starts as a consultancy assignment via Academic Work for the first six months, with the ambition to transition into a permanent position directly with the client thereafter.

The position is security classified, meaning a security clearance will be conducted before employment. The security clearance includes a registry check and a security interview in accordance with the Security Protection Act. In addition to the security clearance, alcohol and drug tests as well as a health examination will be conducted.

Responsibilities

In this role, you are responsible for demonstrating and educating customers on the company's new type of autonomous drone swarms. You will conduct regular two-day training sessions, often every week or every other week, primarily at regiments in locations such as Stockholm, Falun, Älvdalen, Östersund, and Sollefteå. The work is largely practical and takes place in forests and terrain.

You will participate in field training for military and civilian actors, both Swedish and international, and serve as technical support during exercises. The role combines technology, pedagogy, and customer contact – you need to be able to explain, instruct, and feel confident in the system's technical aspects. You will work in a team during the initial phase of the work to ensure the right conditions for the position.

We are looking for you who

• Are an experienced drone operator or have a technical background, e.g., Linux, bash, programming, etc.
• Have a military background, preferably as an instructor
• Hold a B driver's license as travel around Sweden is required

You must have your own car to get to your workplace as public transport is not available there. We are looking for someone who enjoys working outdoors and is pedagogical, social, and confident in dynamic environments. You will receive a thorough introduction as well as access to clear training materials and internal training to get into the role.
