About the position

At a well-established company in the defense and security industry, you will play a central role in training customers and showcasing the future's technical solutions through practical demonstrations in the field. This is a completely new and exciting role where you will hands-on test the company's various prototypes and products in the field. You will work closely with two colleagues on-site in Älvdalen. Since a large part of the work takes place outdoors, it is important that you feel comfortable in forests and rough terrain. You will receive thorough onboarding and well-prepared material that provides you with the best possible conditions in the role.

The Armed Forces and our client have started a new development project, and the operation you will work in is developing a new type of autonomous drone swarms. These are commercial drones equipped with new software and control systems.

The position begins as a consultancy through Academic Work for the first six months, with the ambition to then transition into a permanent position directly with the client.

The position is security classified, which means that a security clearance will be conducted before employment. The security clearance includes a background check and security clearance interviews in accordance with the Security Protection Act. In addition to the security clearance, alcohol and drug tests will be conducted as well as a health examination.

Job responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for demonstrating and training customers in the company's new type of autonomous drone swarms. You will conduct regular two-day training sessions, often every week or every other week, primarily at regiments in places such as Stockholm, Falun, Älvdalen, Östersund, and Sollefteå. The work is largely practical in forests and rough terrain.

You will be involved in training in the field for military and civilian actors, both Swedish and international, and serve as technical support during exercises. The role combines technology, pedagogy, and customer contact – you need to be able to explain, instruct, and at the same time feel comfortable with the technical aspects of the system. You will work together in a team during the first part of the job to ensure the right conditions for the position.

We are looking for someone who

• Has strong IT and technical knowledge
• Technical programming skills, such as Linus
• Has a military background, for example from the Armed Forces or Home Guard
• Has a B driver's license as travel is required around Sweden

You must have your own car to reach your workplace as public transport does not go there. We are looking for someone who enjoys working outdoors and is pedagogical, social, and comfortable in dynamic environments. You will receive a thorough introduction as well as access to clear training materials and internal training to get into the role.
