As a Construction Manager at the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket), you will help facilitate daily life for residents and businesses across Sweden by contributing to the infrastructure of the future.

The Hässleholm-Lund Program, involving two new tracks, is in its startup phase and is largely in the planning stage, including location studies and the development of a railway plan in the coming years. Two new tracks are planned between Hässleholm and Klostergården in southern Lund. The program also includes other measures that contribute to better capacity in the Skåne railway network. The program has also been tasked with reducing travel times, which is a major and challenging task that we will all work on together. The Hässleholm-Lund two new tracks program is part of the Railway South division within Major Projects.

Responsibilities

As a BEST Construction Manager, you will work in all phases, from planning to execution. You will work with functional and product descriptions, contracts, and follow-up, as well as verification and validation of requirements and deliveries. The work involves, among other things, monitoring of production performed in the track environment. Together with experienced colleagues, you will contribute to the development of working methods, regulations, standards, and technology. You will also contribute to the transfer of experience between projects and specialists.

Examples of responsibilities include:

• Participate in production meetings with the contractor
• Participate in production-technical solutions on-site
• Conduct construction site follow-ups and follow-up of established requirements against the contractor
• Support project management in monitoring technology, time, quality, and economy
• Monitor risks and risk management
• Ensure that documentation of the contractor's self-control and other controls is documented according to agreement
• Perform price and quantity control of contract works
• Handle deviations, change orders, and additional works as well as quantity deviations according to project routines
• Participate in design and selection of technical solutions
• Participate in inspections and surveys
• Contribute to the compilation of final documentation

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, we are looking for someone with the ability to see the big picture and find smart solutions. You work in a structured manner and have an eye for details that ultimately result in a better facility. In an initial phase, we are looking for a generalist, but there are good opportunities within the program to develop towards a specific technical area.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A university or college degree of at least 180 credits (120 points) with a technical focus, or other education and experience that we consider equivalent
• At least 6 years of work experience as a construction manager or at least 7 years of experience as a contractor in a supervisory role such as site manager, construction manager, or production manager within the technical areas of Track, Electrical, or Signaling
• The ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing
• A Class B driver's license

It is an advantage if you have:

• Knowledge of TRVinfra
• Worked as a contractor
